Building a Future Together

Equipping young learners with practical technical and engineering skills for meaningful careers and a stronger South Africa.

Who we are

Empowering Communities for Change

Our Mission

The Hands On Foundation Charitable Trust’s mission is to equip learners with essential hands-on technical and engineering skills and knowledge, preparing them for successful careers in sectors vital to South Africa’s economic growth. We work together with educators, communities and industry so young people gain practical skills, mentoring and real work experience that open clear pathways into further study and gainful employment.

What makes us different?

We are dedicated to implementing technical and engineering faculties within mainstream high schools. This includes having an integrated approach that includes theory and practical hands-on education, mentorship, internship, entrepreneurship and post school employment support.

Additionally, we are committed to partnering with education specialists, schools and the Dept of Education to ensure high quality education for all.

Community Engagement

Built by the Community,
For the Community.

Many of The Foundation’s projects are driven by communities seeking practical solutions to youth unemployment. By partnering with local leaders and businesses, we align our curriculum to address real skills gaps - equipping young people with relevant, employable skills that strengthen their futures and their communities.During development, we engage local professionals, contractors, artisans and suppliers - creating immediate upliftment while building long-term impact.
